Excellent company to deal with. Oskars was very knowledgable and we felt confident in his quote and work required in removing our chimney and for a part new roof. We had a very leaky sunroom roof and it needed replacing. Oskars and his team were fantastic from start to finish. He understood the need for a specific tile because of the low pitch and sorted out our guttering and refreshed the Velux windows. The quote was really reasonable and the work was done to a super high standard. The team were incredibly tidy and really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the result. And we are! A proper roof job, very pleased with the quality of the rebuilt chimneys and roof repairs on a Victorian house. Not the cheapest, but excellent work on our house and two of our neighbours. Expert advice, and a range of options offered. Helpful, tidy, courteous, skilled workmen. Happy to recommend.

In my experience, it's rare to find such high-quality tradesmen. The assessment of the solution to my roof problems was professional. The job started on time, and the attention to detail during my re-roof was fastidious. The tradesmen were polite, and they enjoyed explaining to me what they were doing as the job progressed. We had a very bad experience with a rogue roofer in 2023, leaving us with a leaking lead valley. We were understandably extremely nervous about getting another in to sort the mess out. Oskars at Proper Roof was recommended to us by a friend in the village and has not let us down. His communication is first class, keeping us involved and informed all through remedial work. When he found more problems than anticipated he came up with a solution that actually saved us money. We now have a Lead valley that we have confidence will not leak, and if we did have a problem I am also confident that he would return to sort it out. We would definitely use him again another time. We are getting numerous compliments from neighbours on the appearance. Highly recommended.

Having physically seen a number of properties Proper Roof had worked on the quality was so high that I made further enquiries with friends who had used this company and I knew this was who I should go with for my project. I have waited 6 months before posting a review, just to make sure that the repair that was done on my tiled roof actually worked. And it has! I am very happy with the way the work was carried out, and with the end result. They were professional at all times, and have managed to fix a problem which other roofers could not. Not the cheapest, but it seems you get what you pay for. Very happy with the outcome 😊

The Proper Roof team did a great job of repairing our roof and rebuilding the chimney. Oskars initially carried out a thorough survey using his drone as well as manually inspecting the roof, then provided a clear quote before starting work quickly (we had a tight timeframe due to the presence of bats in the attic). The team were polite and hard-working and Oskars kept us informed of progress at every step. Care was taken to work with the restrictions due to the bats, including the fitting of special tiles to allow them access. A big thank you!
