Strength through technology
Geopolymer Technologies provides the longest-lasting acid resistant, heat resistant, concrete on earth.
Benefits of Geopolymer
Geopolymer Cements offer a number of benefits over conventional Portland Cement/Concrete including:
- Significantly lower CO2 emissions than OPC concretes – up to~90%
- Better thermal insulation properties
- Higher temperature/fire resistance
- Freeze thaw resistance
- Acid and chemical resistant
- Providing a viable use for ‘waste’ materials which are often disposed in landfill
- Significant life cycle increases
- Contaminated waste materials used and made safe with exceptional sustainability and environment benefits
- Materials used in geopolymer concrete can vary with a wide scope of possibilities.
- Our Geopolymers can be bespoke to expedite curing times for 28 day strength in as little as two hours
Our Solution to Unsustainable Cement & Concrete
Concrete is the most widely used man-made material in existence. It is second only to water as the most-consumed resource on the planet. But, while cement – the key ingredient in concrete – has shaped much of our built environment, it also has a massive carbon footprint. Cement is the source of 8% of the world’s CO2 emissions, according to think tank Chatham House.
Geopolymer Cement Ltd has the answer, a zero percent Portland cement made from bi products of power stations; The ash that is produced from the process of burning fuel to make electricity. The ash is then put into landfill and is classed as contaminated land.
Geopolymers utilise this waste and have created a cement/concrete which has up to a 93% reduction in carbon footprint to makes the longest lasting acid resistant, heat resistant concrete on earth. On a lifetime basis this is carbon negative and cost free due to its durability and life expectancy.
