Getting the job done without costing the earth.
At Bingley Demolition, we don’t dress things up or make big claims. We just try to do things the right way. That means looking after the environment, cutting waste where we can, and keeping useful materials in use instead of sending everything to landfill.
We recover as much as possible before a building even comes down. Steel beams are often set aside for reuse, especially when local contractors or fabricators can make use of them. Timber joists, floorboards, and doors are regularly salvaged and either repurposed or made available for resale. What can’t be reused is sorted properly and taken to licensed recycling centres. It’s more effort, but it’s the right way to do things.
We also try to keep things local. That means using nearby suppliers whenever possible, hiring local people who know the area, and choosing recycling centres close to the job. It cuts down on travel, lowers fuel use, and helps reduce the environmental impact of each project. But it is not just about emissions. Keeping things local also means more money stays in the community, more jobs go to people nearby, and we build better working relationships with the people and businesses around us. It is a practical choice that just makes sense.
We do more than just reuse materials. We also pay attention to how our work affects the environment around us day to day. That includes managing dust and noise, keeping machinery well maintained, and switching off plant and vehicles when they’re not in use. It is about working cleanly, tidily, and with respect for the site and the community.
